We are always a HUGE fan of the John James Audubon Center. There are so many lovely photo spots and its the perfectly sized venue to explore but not get overwhelmed. They have several magical locations to have a ceremony, an adorable old building for cocktail hour, and a spacious pavilion that you can set up several different ways! It was a beautiful day and the vendors were a pleasure to work with.
Now on to the lovely Fabienne and Nick… isn’t she just the sweetest bride you have ever seen? Many brides I joke with and say “same time next week?”, but I genuinely believe Fabienne would play dress up and enjoy the festivities every weekend! :)
Fabienne’s family is from the UK and had meaningful touches of their heritage throughout the day. There was a special cocktail called “Clifton cocktail” in honor of Fabienne’s grandparents with Clifton being the name of their sweet home in the UK. There were also two special gifts presented at the reception. Her grandparents (who are in their early 90’s) couldn’t make the trip from the UK but sent a heartfelt letter that was read aloud and gifted them a painting by a UK artist of the scene where Nick proposed to Fabienne. Nick also surprised Fabienne with a genuine Welsh love spoon. Very meaningful to capture all the love and excitement in the room when these were given. :)
The dances were not your average… Many hours of practice went into them. The father-of-the-bride had been taking tango lessons for the past year!! Nick even flipped Fabienne (YES upside down in a wedding dress) during their dance… Serious skills and lots of trust!
It was such an honor to capture Fabienne and Nick’s love story. We know there were loads of time and attention put into all of the details for the day. Thanks again! -Janine
